Parke, chief astronomer and surveyor (appeared as: United States. 36th Cong., 1st sess. Senate. Ex. doc. no. 16); and, as Appendix C, a letter from Archibald Campbell, a northwestern boundary commissioner, which summarizes the history of the survey (from: United States. 40th Cong., 3d sess.
