"Myers made two voyages to the northwest coast. In 1796, on the brig lane which was engaged in the fur trade, he visited Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlotte Islands. In 1800 on the Betsy, with a letter of marque for Peru and California, he visited Nootka Sound, Prince William's Sound and Cook's Inlet."-- Strathern, G. M., & Edwards, M. H. (1970).
