"Only volume one published. The author is sometimes called James Henry. His correct name was established by the Oregon State Historian from information supplied by Brown's nephew, Burt Brown Barker. Eberstadt postulated in his Catalogue 126, no.381, that probably not more than 20 copies were extant as the entire edition, except a few copies sent to the author by the binder, was destroyed by fire. A history of Oregon to 1848. "Contains copies of many documents of great value and not readily accessible': - Cowan." -- Strathern, G. M. , & Edwards, M. H. (1970).
