Declaration and counter-declaration, signed and exchanged at Madrid, the 24th of July, 1790, between his Britannick Majesty's ambassador, and the minister of the King of Spain Great Britain

"Text in Spanish [sic] and English in parallel columns. The Declaration was signed by Count Floridablanca and the Counter-declaration by Allardyce Fitz-Herbert. By these agreements, Spain agreed to indemnify the owners of British ships seized at Nootka, but deferred any question of sovereignty." -- Strathern, G. M. , & Edwards, M. H. (1970).
