The Shadow World : Inside the Global Arms Trade Feinstein, Andrew
Description
Mr. Feinstein is Founding Director of Corruption Watch, an international NGO that tracks and monitors major bribery and corruption cases. The organization also assists prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, journalists, activists and legislators in their efforts to fight corruption. He is a former African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament in South Africa before resigning in protest at the ANC's refusal to allow an inquiry into a multi-million dollar arms deal. His critically acclaimed book The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade (2011) has already been published in seven different editions around the world, with more forthcoming, including a Chinese translation. A full-length documentary film based on this publication, The Shadow World, was released in 2016. Mr. Feinstein regularly appears on a variety of broadcast media including BBC and Al Jazeera. He authored the lead article in the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI) 2011 Yearbook, as well as co-authored a chapter for the Oxford Handbook of Organised Crime. Mr. Feinstein was an Open Society International Fellow, and he chairs the Friends of the Treatment Action Campaign, an HIV and AIDS charity, registered in the UK since 2001
