Cyber security digital twin simulations for wireless networks Xing, Yuzhen
Abstract
Cyber security solution for wireless network intends to protect a wireless network from unauthorized and malicious access. The growth in cyber activities presents unprecedented challenges to cyber security at the entrepreneurial and national levels. However, with the rapidly evolving cyber threats and attacks, the existing cyber security solutions struggle to keep up in terms of physical configuration modification and scaling. This thesis proposes a framework for a comprehensive cyber security solution based on the digital twin technology, which generates a virtual representation of a wireless network. We focus on leveraging digital twin technology to deal with most network devices’ security hazards all at once. Users can view and test essential attributes of wireless networks and equipment in a digital twin simulated environment. The security model in the framework can simulate cyber attacks, monitor network security, and set security rules without affecting the live network system.
