A costume design for The Changeling Chang, Di

Abstract

This paper documents and describes the design process and final costume design for the University of British Columbia (UBC) production of The Changeling. The play is a Jacobean tragedy written by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley, and adapted by MFA directing candidate Luciana Silvestre Fernandes. The production ran in the TELUS Studio Theatre of The Chan Centre for The Performing Arts from January 16th to February 1st, 2020, as part of 2019/2020 UBC season. It was performed by BFA acting students. The director was MFA candidate Luciana Silvestre Fernandes and the stage manager was Anita Jian. The design team included MFA candidate Luis Bellassai (Scenic Design), Zach Levis (Lighting Design), Jacob Wan (Sound Design). The costume advisor for this production was Jacqueline Firkins and the head of wardrobe was Jodi Jacyk.
