This session provided a look at Dr. Palepu’s experiences of launching the open access journal, Open Medicine. Open Medicine is a peer-reviewed, independent, open-access general medical journal. The mission of Open Medicine is to facilitate the equitable global dissemination of high-quality health research; to promote international dialogue and collaboration on health issues; to improve clinical practice; and to expand and deepen the understanding of health and health care. This session took place on October 19, 2010 in the Lillooet Room of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the University of British Columbia.
