European repositories and OA Starr, Lea Katharine

Description

Institutional repository and open access work has been well supported through networks like SURF [SURF Foundation], DRIVER [Digital Repository Infrastructure Vision for European Research] and SHERPA [Securing a Hybrid Environment for Research Preservation and Access] which are working collaboratively to address common challenges. In 2009, several key institutions and libraries visited in Europe and considered to have contributed to networked IR activities in Europe are Kiev, Warsaw, Utrecht, Gent, Nottingham, Berlin, Bielefeld, and Gottingen. This session took place on October 20, 2009 in the Dodson Room of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at the University of British Columbia.
