Description
The UBC Okanagan Library is pleased to present Pilar Martinez as the keynote speaker for the third annual Leader in Residence program. Martinez's public presentation, Making a Difference: A Community-Led Service Framework for Libraries, discusses Edmonton Public Library's community-led service framework. EPL was one of the first public libraries in Canada to implement a system-wide, integrated community-led service approach in 2008. Pilar discusses the framework for the community-led approach, how it was developed, how it has been implemented and evaluated. She highlights some of the things EPL has learned over the last eight years, the successes, the challenges and what’s in store for the future.
