Description

Zines are a self-published medium that are often created by collaging existing materials (e.g. images, text, etc.) with self-created content and published in simple photocopied formats for open sharing. Participants at this session will be introduced to zine-making history and practices to situate zines as a form of open pedagogy. The session will address the methodologies and resources created to engage students in discussion around open culture, as well as student perspectives on the process. OER Description: This workshop/training material on open pedagogy and zine-making was developed to support Undergraduate Lower and Undergraduate Upper Division students. This open educational resource (OER) includes slides, an activity plan, a grading rubric, and a handout sample zine.
