Description	SPPH Professor, and BCCDC harm reduction lead, Jane Buxton, and those working and living with substance use issues, spoke about the opioid crisis at SPPH Grand Rounds on March 3rd, 2017. Professor Buxton spoke about the increases in drug overdoses and her work with BC’s Take Home Naloxone program - which has seen 5,400 overdose reversals. She was joined by guest speakers Keren Mitchell, nurse practitioner with the Inner City Youth Program, Martin Steward, coordinator of the Vancouver Area Network of Drug Users overdose response team, and Erica Thomson, outreach worker with Warm Zone, who shared their experiences about the reality of the opioid crisis.
