Description

This pagoda was built in the 10th year of the Kaiyuan reign (722-723) of the Tang dynasty 唐 (618-907) and is located at the northeast corner of the North Tower (Bei Ta 北塔) of the Yunju Temple (Yunju si 雲居寺) in Beijing. It is a small stone pagoda with bamboo shoots on four sides and is 4 meters high. The Pagoda and its base are square. The base is 86cm long. The height is 112cm. There is a small niche at the bottom of the tower, with a Buddha and two ministered bodhisattvas on the front and maids and officials on the left and right of the niche. There is an inscription on the outside of the tower. Image 01 and Image 02 show the side of the pagoda, Image 03 to Image 06 show the shrine and its inner statues, and Image 07 is the inscription of the pagoda.
