Description

This niche is located in Beishan Rock Carvings (北山石刻), Fowan (佛灣), Dazu (大足) District, Chongqing. The central wall depicts a bodhisattva with a circular halo sitting on a Sumeru throne. The bodhisattva is flanked by two standing figures, of which the left one holds a plate with an unknown object. Since all these images are severely eroded, their identities are uncertain.
