Our Practice Newsletter : By Pharmacists For Pharmacists, issue 28 Gobis, Barbara; Nourse, Allison; Lim, Timothy
Description
Feature article: Service Design in Healthcare. Service design is the study and shaping of service experiences so that they work well for people. When the pandemic hit, the Clinic pivoted to a fully virtual service, which unveiled both the strengths and shortfalls of our workflows and operational systems, and led us to adopt new service design approaches for our staff and patients. Case: Much needed rest – investigating the use of psilocybin and prazosin for PTSD-associated insomnia. This issue’s case demonstrates how pharmacists can provide education, support and evidence-based treatment alternatives for patients seeking unauthorized substances, such as psilocybin, for therapeutic use.
