Description

Located in Qianfo zhai 千佛寨, Anyue xian 安岳縣, Sichuan sheng 四川省, this cave is now protected by a brownish-red iron grate. According to Professor Yang Xiaodong, it was in already in this state when he visited ten years earlier (Personal communication with Yang Xiaodong, May 28, 2022.) Based on Dr. Zhang Liang's assessment, the cave was originally used for meditation. (Personal communication with Professor Zhang Liang: May,28, 2022.)
