Description

This complex of niches is located in Qianfo zhai 千佛寨, Anyue xian 安岳縣, Sichuan sheng 四川省. The dating of these niches is uncertain. The photo was taken from the front angle. Two large niches are visible, one on the top left and one in the centre of the left side. In the middle between these two niches, the 'main section' arises, resembling a stupa, with a seated Buddha-like statue in the middle. To the left of this figure, an object that resembles a stupa is depicted. In the centre of the right niche, the remains of a statue can be seen. The number 77 is marked at the bottom niche.
