Description

Located in Qianfo zhai 千佛寨, Anyue xian 安岳縣, Sichuan sheng 四川省. This niche hosts a severely damaged, Buddha-like statue. Two bodhisattvas stand on either side. These statues may have been carved before the Song dynasty and the niche was probably excavated during the Latter Shu 後蜀, one of the Five Dynasties 五代 (902-979).
