Water-moon Guanyin statue (Shuiyue guanyin 水月觀音), Guanyin Hall (Guanyin tang 觀音堂), Pilu dong 毗廬洞 Anderl, Christoph

Description

The statue of the Water Moon Gunayin (Ch. Shuiyue Guanyin 水月觀音), also popularly known as Black Bamboo Guanyin (Ch. Zizhu Guanyin 紫竹觀音), is a statue 2.8 meters high located the Guanyin Hall of Pilu cave (Pilu dong 毗盧洞), Anyue xian 安岳縣, Sichuan sheng 四川省. The deity sits in a relaxed posture on a rock throne covered by straw. She wears a beautiful necklace around the body and a crown with an embedded Buddha figure embedded.
