Description

Giant statue depicting the Reclining Buddha (Wofo 臥佛) at the Wofo yuan complex 臥佛院, Anyue xian 安岳縣, Sichuan sheng 四川省, lying on his left side as he is about to enter Nirvāṇa. It is about 21 meters in length. The head alone is about 3 meters long. On his head he has a spiral hair bun and on each ear he wears a round flower earring. His large head rests on a lotus pillow.
