Description

The dharani pillar (or dhāraṇī pillar) locates at the right side of the interior court in the Guandi Temple (關帝廟) in Chaoyang city (朝陽市), Shuangta district (雙塔區). This pillar is carved with several dharanis (or dhāraṇīs). It is supposedly dated from the 11th century and was originally located on the site of the Chaoyang East Pagoda (朝陽東塔).
