Site of the Guandi Temple (關帝廟) in Chaoyang (朝陽) County Van Cutsem, Laurent
Description
The site of the Guandi Temple (關帝廟) locates at Shuangta district (雙塔區) in Chaoyang city (朝陽市). It is the same site where two dharani pillars, probably dating from the Tang dynasty and the 11th century, as well as a Yuan dynasty stele were located. The Liao dynasty pillar is said to originally come from the site of the Chaoyang East Pagoda (朝陽東塔), which is now completely destroyed.
