Description

A critical part of the team at any medical practice is the medical office assistant (MOA) whose indispensable role includes organizing the pharmacists' time, communicating with patients, and providing administrative support such that pharmacists can focus their energy on clinical roles. The feature article in this issue of Our Practice describes the role of the MOA at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic and how their role relates to the roles of other team members. This issue's case study tackles the complex task of managing motor complications that tend to come with long-term levodopa therapy for Parkinson's Disease.
