The Jianchun Pavillion (見春亭) at Shijing Mountain (石經山) Baycroft, Anne
Description
Though best known for it's sutra storage caves, Shijing Mountain also houses the remains of a pavilion site. The Jianchun (Spring Views) Pavilion (見春亭) is also known as the Guanjing (shight-seeing) pavilion (觀景亭) and Wangxiu (Beauty-appreciating) pavilion (望秀亭). It is octagonal with the raming stone columns largely still in tact. According to ledged, the stone used for this building was trasnported by Zhang Guolao (張果老), a Daosit immortal.
