The Jianchun Pavillion (見春亭) at Shijing Mountain (石經山) Baycroft, Anne

Description

Though best known for it's sutra storage caves, Shijing Mountain also houses the remains of a pavilion site. The Jianchun (Spring Views) Pavilion （見春亭） is also known as the Guanjing (shight-seeing) pavilion （觀景亭） and Wangxiu (Beauty-appreciating) pavilion （望秀亭）. It is octagonal with the raming stone columns largely still in tact. According to ledged, the stone used for this building was trasnported by Zhang Guolao （張果老）, a Daosit immortal.
