Fasi Dega (Silu Mahadev) temple under reconstruction Suji, Manoj
This temple was destroyed above the base during the 1934 earthquake and was rebuilt in a much smaller scale and different architecture from the original. Now, following its destruction during the 2015 earthquake, it is being rebuilt to the pre-1934 architecture under the contract system. Taken during the 3rd phase of fieldwork conducted by the research team based at Social Science Baha in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant, ‘Expertise, Labour and Mobility in Nepal’s Post-Conflict, Post-Disaster Reconstruction’.
