Paving of streets in progress Subedi, Prakash
Many streets in the Kathmandu Valley are traditionally paved with tiles and stones. Even as more streets get paved with concrete or blacktopped, there are still attempts to pave them with stones, a time-consuming and expensive process. Taken during the 2nd phase of fieldwork conducted by the research team based at Social Science Baha in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant, ‘Expertise, Labour and Mobility in Nepal’s Post-Conflict, Post-Disaster Reconstruction’.
