New building on the corner Subedi, Prakash

Description

Use of reinforced concrete is very common in new building constructions, especially as many of the older reinforced concrete structures suffered less damage during the 2015 earthquake when compared to mud-mortar buildings. Taken during the 1st phase of fieldwork conducted by the research team based at Social Science Baha in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant, ‘Expertise, Labour and Mobility in Nepal’s Post-Conflict, Post-Disaster Reconstruction’.
