Buddha statues in the Northern Niches of the Hall of the Stone Buddha

This series of stone statues of buddhas, dated 1085 (Song 宋 Dynasty), is located on the northern side of the Hall of Stone Buddha in Linqü (臨朐), Shandong Province. Images 1- 11 each shows a niche that contains or used to contain a Buddha statue. Most of the statues are badly weathered except the statue in image 4. 1. In the first image, the buddha statue is badly weathered. Part of the head is missing, and the style of the clothing has worn away. The size of the buddha is 26cm (H) x 19cm (W). The size of the niche is 35cm (H) x 34cm (W). [1] 2. The buddhist statue, especially the upper half of the body, is badly weathered, and only some clothing in the lower half remain. The size of the buddha is 27cm (H) x 24cm (W). The size of the niche is 39cm (H) x 30cm (W). [2] 3. The buddhist statue is badly weathered. Part of the head is missing, only some clothing below the waist remain. The size of the buddha is 27cm (H) x 21cm (W). The niche's size is 41cm (H) x 32cm (W). [3] 4. The buddha is relatively complete, only the face is weathered. The clothing pattern remains clear and the dragon embroidery is visible. The size of the buddha is 33cm (H) x 21cm (W). The niche's size is 50cm (H) x 34cm (W). [4] 5. The buddha statue is badly weathered. Both the face and clothing are beyond recognition. The inscribing, if any, is illegible -- only some blurry traces remain. The size of the buddha is 28cm (H) x 23cm (W). The niche's size is 43cm (H) x 32cm (W). [5] 6. The buddha statue is badly weathered. The face is missing, and only the style of clothing of the left lower part is complete. The size of the buddha statue is 32cm (H) x 23cm (W). The size of the niche is 43cm (H) x 37cm (W). [6] 7. The buddha's face is badly weathered, but the body and style of clothing are complete. The size of the buddha is 36cm (H) x 18cm (W). The size of the niche is 51cm (H) x 28cm (W). [7] 8. The statue is badly weathered. This figure might be the donor. The face is blurry, but other features are complete. The two statues of attendants flanking on the left and right sides are also weathered, but the body shape is still recognizable. The size of the main statue: 90cm (H) x 60cm (W). The size of the left statue: 33cm (H) x 21cm (W). The size of the left statue 39cm (H) x 15cm (W). [8] 9. It was inscribed in the eighth year of Yuanfeng (元丰), and is weathered. Only the year and several other characters are recognizable. The size of the inscribing is 46cm (H) x 10cm (W). [9] 10. The buddha statue is badly weathered. Part of the head is missing, and only the style of clothing of the lower part of the body is intact. The size of the buddha statue is 37cm (H) x 23cm (w). The size of the remaining niche is 50cm (H) x 34cm (W). [10] 11. The buddha statue is badly weathered. The size of the buddha statue is 32cm (H) x 23cm (w). The size of the remaining niche is 40cm (H) x 57cm (W). [11]
