Buddhist inscription of a hymn in praise of the Avatamsaka Sūtra (Huayan jing 華嚴經), dated the first year of Tianbao (天保) of the Northern Qi Dynasty (550 A.D.) Li, Lan
This paragraph of the carving sutra was carved on the left side of the inscription of the Master Fang. The content of this hymn is to emphasize the unsurpassed position of the Vairocana Buddha, as well as how aspicious the buddhaland of the Vaurocana Buddha is. It has a total of 117 characters and was written in lishu (隶书), an archaic style of Chinese calligraphy.
