Memoir of a pioneer nurse Gertrude Richards Ladner who practiced nursing in the early 1900s at the Provincial Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC from 1902 to 1908. The memoir describes early nursing practice, the science of nursing, attire and living conditions.
