Trauma Informed Home Economics : One Teacher's Journey Ross, L. C.
Abstract
I have often created zines as tools for my own learning and that of others. As a teacher, I have used them to document my interactions with various course texts, my challenges with teaching and supporting individual students, and my interpretation of how all these pieces fit together. For my final project, I use the zine format to explore the potential of Trauma Informed Home Economics to positively impact students in alternate education, by offering opportunities to take on challenges and growth in a safe environment.
