Oikos : Entangled Living Michel, Saige
Abstract
The human-nature divide is dissolved. Cohabitation between species is commonplace, and humans exist as part of an entangled Oikos, entwined with the more-than-human world. Binaries between inside and outside are fleeting. Our living spaces attune us to thermal, ephemeral environmental conditions and the many beings, entities, and forces we exist alongside. What does a home in Vancouver look like if humans willingly relinquish dominancy? How can a home for many collaborate with the nearby Camosun Bog? Infrastructures are placed onto which humans moor themselves, allowing for an improvisation of thresholds and a collaboration of living conditions.
