Patchwork : Streets as Landscape Fender, Joshua
Abstract
The Okanagan is considered a cold semi-arid climate reaching temperatures -25C in the winter and over 40C in the summer. Kelowna is located at the center of Okanagan Lake. It is the regions largest city with a population of about 180 000 people. The small city has roots in orchard agriculture, summer tourism, and is a great place to retire. The combination of Okanagan lake, lush golf courses, beautiful private gardens, and picturesque vineyards makes Kelowna feel like an “oasis in the desert”.
