Sina Halvaei was a semi-finalist in the 2022 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Sina presented their research, "Save time, Save lives: Hunting for Breast Cancer Protein in Human Blood." They hope to explore the development of a novel blood test that looks for specific cancer proteins to help diagnose breast cancer at an earlier stage. Sina Halvaei is completing their PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Karla Williams.
