Simone Hagey was a finalist in the 2022 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Simone presented their research, "The Death Spiral of Hot Jupiters." Developing mathematical and computational tools to more efficiently study solar systems, in hopes to explore more mysteries in our galaxy. Simone Hagey is completing their Master’s in Astronomy in the Department of Physics & Astrology at The University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Boley.
