Jesse Charlton was a semi-finalist in the 2022 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Jesse presented their research, "A lab in a shoe.” They hope to explore the deployment of small, wearable sensors embedded in shoes to identify walking patterns to help to health care practitioners deliver more effective treatments to manage knee osteoarthritis. Jesse Charlton is completing their PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Michael Hunt.
