Sharing is curing : using publicly available data to uncover the mechanisms of interstitial lung diseases He, Daniel
Description
Daniel He, a UBC 3MT Semi-Finalist, presents their research on the mechanism causing interstitial lung disease, specifically idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Through a meta-analysis examining thousands of gene expression studies, they have found potential genes to study further. Ultimately, they hope their research will lead to better understanding of this mechanism to help find treatments for this disease. Daniel He is completing their PhD in Experimental Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Scott Tebbutt and Dr. Chris Ryerson.
