Megha Kalia, a UBC 3MT Semi-Finalist, presents their research on a new augmented reality system that utilizes MRI technology to help surgeons see inside the prostate, while performing surgery to remove tumours in prostate cancer patients. Megha Kalia is completing their PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Tim Salcudean.
