Shayan Heydari, a UBC 3MT Semi-Finalist, presents their research on the sources of vibrations in rat’s whiskers, a low-speed airflows, with the use of 3D numerical simulations. Better understanding of this sensing strategy may help build advanced robots. Shayan Heydari is completing their Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Rajeev K. Jaiman.
