             Accra Park Mapping December 22, 2019 Prepared by Emily A. Gemmell, MPH  for  the Mmofra Foundation      Urban parks provide space for exercise, social connection and exposure to nature. Assessing, characterizing and understanding urban populations’ access to outdoor spaces can help to inform policies that promote urban health and wellbeing. This report provides satellite imagery of parks in Accra, Ghana, identified by the Mmofra Foundation. Park polygons were defined using ESRI basemap imagery. All images in this report are from World Imagery ESRI basemaps. The area of each park and the population within 400, 800 and 1000 meter buffers of park polygons were calculated using 2019 WorldPop Population data.1,2 All analysis was done using ESRI ArcMap
