Clinical Pearls from the Cochrane Library Therapeutics Initiative (University of British Columbia)
Description
Therapeutics Letter 55 summarizes five Cochrane systematic reviews that provide clear clinical evidence to direct patient care: corticosteroids for acute traumatic brain injury, fixed dose subcutaneous low molecular weight heparins (LMWH) versus adjusted dose unfractionated heparin (UFH) for venous thromboembolis, vaccines for preventing influenza in healthy adults, antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants for hypertension, and effect of longer-term modest salt reduction on blood pressure.
