Medical management of ischemic heart disease : The optimal use of nitrates Therapeutics Initiative (University of British Columbia)
Description
Therapeutics Letter 6 considers the optimal use of nitrates for the medical management of ischemic heart disease. Conclusions: There is increasing evidence that beta-blockers are the drug of first choice in the management of angina. For patients who are not controlled or who are intolerant to beta blockers, long acting nitrates work well in combination with beta blockers and are the obvious second choice.
