National Forum on Anti-Asian Racism : Day 1 and 2 Open Session Transcriptions National Forum on Anti-Asian Racism (2021 : Vancouver (B.C.)

On June 10 and 11, 2021, the University of British Columbia hosted a two-day National Forum on Anti-Asian Racism in Canada. Recordings of the event were made available on YouTube and the transcripts for Day 1 (English and French) and Day 2 (English) are available via cIRcle, UBC's open access repository. Forum participants included community organizers, scholars, and public intellectuals, along with key figures in government, health care, media, journalism, the private and the not-for-profit sectors convened frank discussions about anti-Asian racism in our country with the aim of articulating how we can work together on bold and concrete recommendations for action. The forum also discussed the results of new Angus Reid Institute polling data (in partnership with UBC) which reveals unique insights into anti-Asian racism in Canada and the experiences of racism in the Asian community. This event was made possible through the generous support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.
