In this 2014 interview for Dr. Anne Murphy’s SSHRC-funded project “Transnational modern Punjabi literature and the pursuit of the secular,” Maqsood Sahib outlines his personal engagement with Punjabi and how the perceptions of Punjabi language change over time. In asserting his own understanding of the Punjabi language, Maqsood Sahib is able to locate the history of the language, yet also appreciate it in its entirety. Interview by Dr. Anne Murphy. Funded by SSHRC Insight Development (430-2013-000121) and Insight (435-2017-0406) Grants.
