Ono, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of British Columbia Please join associates and guests of the Centre for Chinese Research for a special gathering to commemorate the life of Liu Xiaobo (1955–2017), writer, scholar, and conscientious intellectual who, for his steadfast and non-violent struggle for constitutional democracy and fundamental human rights in China, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010.
