Superliminal : On Hekate, the Greek goddess of magic, and her reception throughout the ages Carvalho, Liz
Abstract
This thesis is a short reflection on Hekate and her unique position as sometimes one of the most powerful (and other times, the most feared) goddess in the world. Her realms of influence were altered throughout the centuries and with the introduction of Christianism, her position and reception changed dramatically. Here, we shall discuss her origins, her domains, evidence of her presence across history and what that means for the Greek goddess of magic.
