This set of audio recordings features conversation using the optative verb tense to express desired or possible action to discuss future plans of shopping for Christmas gifts, and is part of Lesson 21: Christmas Shopping in Whitehorse from the Kaska Language Website. Learners can follow along with Audio Parts 1–5 using the Lesson 21 “Instructional Materials” items. The Kaska Language Website, which includes over 150 Kaska language lessons, was developed in part by the Liard Aboriginal Women's Society with financial support from the Department of Canadian Heritage.
