Terahertz microjets and graphene : technologies towards ultrafast all-optical modulation Geoffroy-Gagnon, Simon; Bergen, Mark Henry; Born, Brandon; Holzman, Jonathan F.
Abstract
Key technologies for ultrafast all-optical THz
modulation are introduced. A graphene monolayer is
applied for modulation, on a picosecond timescale, and a
dielectric sphere is applied to form a high-intensity THz
microjet within the graphene monolayer.
