Oscillation colors and big Ramsey degrees Chodounsky, David

Description

Oscillation type functions have wide applications in set theory and infinitary combinatorics. Recently, the oscillation argument was used to demonstrate that some structures do not have finite big Ramsey degrees. Examples of this are the pseudotree (Chodounsky, Eskew, Weinert), the generic C-relation (Braunfeld), and the countable atomless Boolean algebra (B.,Ch.,C.,H.,K.,L-G.,U.,Z.). I will showcase the key ideas of this method.
