Quantum test of gravity by colliding Schrödinger's kittens Mazumdar, Anupam

Description

Quantum gravity is yet to be tested in a laboratory. I will provide criteria for testing the quantum fluctuation of a graviton in a laboratory by colliding two non-relativistically Schrödingerâ s kittens and study how the final states would be entangled in this process. Realising such an experiment will be filled with various challenges, from developing new technologies to logistics to financial costs. I will motivate the community, despite all these challenges, why doing such an experiment is necessary to understand both the foundations of quantum mechanics and gravity.
